We refer to all our buildings that are designed for living as Lodges but they can also be called Granny Annexes, Mobile Homes or Static Caravans. The fact is that they are all basically the same thing... the only difference is the quality. Urban Marque only design and manufacture top quality, made to order homes of distinction. All our homes are fully engineered and each unit is supplied with site-specific structural calculations, full design drawings and proof of compliance with the Caravan Acts. All dwelling units comply with BS 3632:2005.
You will find that our packages are amongst the most flexible and affordable in the market place today and we can work within most budgets. Urban Marque offer a range of standard designs from small one bedroom homes up to 6 bedrooms all of which can be altered to suit your specific needs at no extra cost. We can even quote you for your own design – just send us a sketch and we do the rest!
We have a range of external finishes including traditional timber cladding, half-log, render or any modern material you care to specify. We can offer you a flat or pitched roof with different cover options along with Rehau brand UPVC windows and doors that can be sized and located in your new residence to take advantage of the best views available.
All our lodges are manufactured in Shropshire and will meet UK Building Regulations with thermal and passage of sound levels exactly the same as traditional masonry homes so you know you are buying a quality, comfortable home that will serve you well for as long as you look after it.
Because we have designed our lodges to comply with the Caravan Acts, planning permission is NOT required in most cases (see planning in this section and planning in our information hub). All units that comply with the rules are zero rated for VAT purposes so you do not pay any VAT on your new home.
